This is the second class of this series, and the last opportunity to register.
Flourishing is more than simply feeling happy or having things go well. It is a deeper sense of well-being—a feeling of being grounded and content, along with the confidence that we have inner resources to meet the joys, uncertainties, and challenges of life.
Research by Richard Davidson and Cortland Dahl and their colleagues suggests that well-being is not simply something we either have or do not have; it can be cultivated through practice. Their framework identifies four interconnected pillars of flourishing: Awareness, Connection, Insight, and Purpose.
In this four-week series, we will explore one pillar each week, using mindfulness practice as our primary lens. Through meditation, reflection, and conversation, we will investigate what these qualities feel like in our own lives and how they might be intentionally strengthened.
Whether you are new to meditation or have practiced for many years, this series offers an opportunity to deepen your practice in community. Practicing and reflecting together can help us see each pillar from new perspectives, learn from one another, and discover how mindfulness can support a more flourishing life.
