Please join Matthew Daniell and Effie Stavrulaki for NSIMC’s annual holiday lovingkindness offering.
The Dalai Lama said, “Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.” Yet, in our hearts we often do not feel love for ourselves or others, and we bear the painful consequences. In this workshop, we will explore time-tested Buddhist practices that tap the power of intention through offering phrases of lovingkindness, or metta, to ourselves and others. When cultivated, lovingkindness practice helps us to heal our own hearts by loving ourselves more deeply. It can also help us touch those in our lives and the world with a deeper sense of love and connection. Touching love for ourselves and others can be especially helpful during the holiday season, with all of its inherent stresses. All are welcome.
