This is the second session of Matthew Daniell’s fall Wednesday night series, running from September 6 to December 13 - this is the last opportunity to register for this series.
Wanting to find peace, we may look for one source, but just as we seek to find the headwaters of a mighty river and discover many small tributaries, so too the great peace we seek can be found in the little tributaries that make up the flow of our life. To journey into awareness, we must journey into the actual living of our life, just as it is, moment by moment, with full care and relaxed, open attention. In this 13-week series we will draw inspiration in our daily and formal mindfulness practices from meditations of the Burmese monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya's book Relax and Be Aware, as well as other rich Buddhist sources.
This series is appropriate for those with at least some insight meditation practice experience. The majority of each two-hour class will be taken up by sitting and walking meditation, with about 40 minutes for Matthew’s reflections and some group sharing.
