Mindfulness is the energy of being present with experience as it is, which helps us to touch a sense of calm, compassion, and clarity. Often, we think we have to get rid of thoughts and strive very hard to become mindful. In fact, mindfulness is simply the ability of our consciousness to be aware of our life as it is, without the burden of judging ourselves and others. In this retreat we will employ strategies that help us to open and receive experience from a place of interest, curiosity, and ease. This helps us to relax into a spacious clarity of mindfulness that we can bring into formal practice and our daily lives. This workshop is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
