A line from James Joyce’s Dubliners reads, “Mr. Duffy lived a short distance from his body.” Do we? And if so, does the quality of our life suffer? Join Matthew Daniell, guiding teacher of North Shore Insight Meditation Center, as we explore simple ways of being aware of, and within, our bodies. When this classical mindfulness practice is developed, it can bring us more space, intimacy, and ease. It can bring us into the fullness of our bodily, emotional, and relational lives while remaining firmly grounded in the here and now. Matthew will give a talk to introduce the practice of mindfulness meditation, followed by sessions of sitting and walking meditation, with time left for discussion. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome and encouraged.
This program will take place at the Wenham Center for Mindfulness and Insight Meditation, and the fee is on a sliding scale - click below to register at the CfMIM website.
